Vinayaka Chaturthi / Ganesh Chaturthi is also referred as  Vinayagar, Ganeshotsav, Vinayaka Chavithi  in different parts of India. The Festival Lord Ganesh fall in Bhadrapada Month of Hindu calendar

As Lord Ganesha was gifted with the boon to be worshipped first among all the gods, All the new beginnings of life set up by reciting the name of the Lord Ganesh. 

Ganesh pooja is done on every single occasion may it be personal or at work place and it is believed that lord Ganesh blesses all the proceedings without any  bad out comes .

Ganeshotsav marked as the Lords Birthday is celebrated over a interlude of ten days. Most Enjoyed and colourfull festival of Indians

Legend has that God Ganesh was made out of flour dough used by mother Parvati for her Bath.  The Mother Parvati required a door-keeper, to stop any inward of any sort while she was having her bath. And hence the dough made ganesh was breathed to life and was instructed to stand Guard and Mother Parvati was having her bath.   At the same time as Goddess Mother Parvati was taking her bath, Lord Shiva visits her. Lord Ganesh not knowing Lord Shiva as his father refrains him to enter the house. Lord Shiva easily irritable was very annoyed and he beheaded Bal Ganesh with his Trishool. 

The head was replaced with head of  a Elephant head in a while Later, when Lord shiva  came to know the truth, and hence the name of Elephant God. 

Urdhva Ganesha

"URDHVA" is the 16th form of god Ganesha [son of Lord Shiva] among the 32 forms which he possess

This form of Ganesha is being worshiped to overcome all the difficulties which one faces in his life and to have prosperity and secured life with immense amount of strength given by the god

Inspite being known for his strength for worshiping there are hardly any temples found across world, worshiping this form of Ganesha, however One temple in Madurai [Tamil Nadu] is said to have one temple worshipping this form of Ganesha

Siddhi Vinayak !

SiddhiVinayak is one of the eight forms of Lord Ganesha, to be specific its the Second form in the list of 8 forms

The eight forms of lord ganesha are together called as "Ashtavinayak" [called as eight in Hindi]
Temples of these eight forms are located across india at various places across india

The Importance of Siddhivinayak temple:
It is the only form of ganesha, where the trunk of the Murti is positioned or Turned to the Right and the entrance or the temple faces towards North unlike the regular temples.
